Vision correction surgery is becoming very popular. A word you may have heard of is LASIK. This is an acronym for Laser in Situ Keratomileusis. Vision correction surgeries are done all over the country. Special centers are even in shopping malls. I couldn’t believe my eyes the first time I saw a laser center in a big mall. You could watch the vision surgery being performed on a screen while you were standing in the aisle. It was very strange. I don’t think I would want the world watching my vision being corrected.

Vision correction surgeries may be popular and untie people from contact lenses or eyeglasses, but this surgical correction isn’t for everyone. Ask the physician if you are a candidate.
